The British Horse Society announces the first Ride Out UK month

Previously Ride Out UK Week, The British Horse Society (BHS) has announced that they’re extending the event to last throughout May.

Ride Out UK Month celebrates the joys of riding out, while promoting the BHS’ work to protect and extend safe off-road routes for riders and carriage drivers.

Events will be running throughout the UK, organised by the BHS, its committees, BHS Affiliated Equestrian Access Groups and Approved Centres. 16 events have been confirmed so far, five of which are at National Trust properties throughout the UK. All events will raise money for the BHS’ Paths for Communities Fund. The fund can be accessed by local equestrians to create multi-user routes in their area.

Mark Weston, Director of Access at the BHS: “After the continued success of Ride Out UK Week, we decided that we had so much to celebrate about riding out that we’d extend the event to last throughout May. Everybody involved really gets into the spirit of things, running events to raise money for our Paths for Communities fund”.
