The first designated site will be Clandon Wood Natural Burial ground and nature reserve. The 31 acre grounds are managed to complement the surrounding farmland and woodlands to the benefit of local wildlife. Enterprise M3

The Surrey Hills Champions program is kindly sponsored by  Enterprise M3 – a business led partnership, bringing together private, public and not-for-profit sector organisations to determine local economic priorities and undertake activities which drive economic growth and productivity through innovation,  job creation, improved infrastructure and increased workforce skills within our area.

“Enterprise M3 LEP is delighted to be supporting Surrey Hills Enterprises’ Champions Programme. By supporting local businesses we can all do our bit for both the local economy and sustainability, and in planting trees we bring ourselves closer to the critical goal of becoming a net zero nation. This is very much at the heart of what we do, so we’re excited to be part of this fantastic scheme.

Surrey Hills Society

Surrey Hills Society is an independent charity promoting the positive enjoyment and care of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for those who live, work in, or visit the area. The Society will be the nature recovery partner for the Champions initiative.

Gordon Jackson, Chairman of Surrey Hills Society

‘The Surrey Hills Society is delighted to be collaborating with Surrey Hills Enterprises to implement tree planting and nature recovery projects as part of the Champions programme. Our members are passionate about improving lives and habitats across the Surrey Hills and are extremely conscious of the threats that biodiversity loss and climate change present to our precious environment. This is a great opportunity for everyone to do their bit to help by subscribing as Champions’.
