In the secluded setting of the Surrey Hills, 5 miles south of Guildford lies Gate Street Barn, a truly magnificent place for any special occasion, in all seasons.
Gate Street Barn boasts beautiful landscaped gardens and views of the working organic farm and a hobby herd of English Longhorn cattle.
Gate Street Barn is built in the traditional style using wood from oak trees lost on the farm in the 1987 hurricane.
In 2007 Gate Street Barn underwent extensive refurbishment and now features a beautiful Bride’s Room, a meeting room, new ladies loos, a disabled loo with baby change facilities and second Green Oak Barn reception area known as The Granary, complete with a traditional Norwegian woodburning stove. The Barn and The Granary have central heating.
During 2008 The Pheasantry had a substantial facelift, with a new black Indian sandstone floor, lovely glass panelled walls and a woodburning stove installed.
More recently, Gate Street Barn completed their newest extension early this year to include The Orangery and The Atrium.
The Orangery is a grand entrance joining The Barn and Pheasantry, making Gate Street Barn an all-weather venue. The Orangery features heat reflective glass and underfloor heating, whilst The Atrium floods the barn with natural light and has increased the capacity.
