Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions for the Inspiring Views Project Crowdfunding Campaign

These terms and conditions set out the terms between the donor (you) and the Surrey Hills Society (us) under which you may take part in the crowdfunding of the Surrey Hills Inspiring Views project.

Making a ‘crowdfunding’ donation to the Surrey Hills Inspiring Views project on the Surrey Hills website (www.surreyhills.org) means that you accept, and agree to abide by, the following terms and conditions.

www.surreyhills.org is a site operated by Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The address of the Board of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is: Surrey Hills AONB Office, Warren Farm Barns, Headley Lane, Mickleham, Dorking, Surrey RH5 6DG.

Your donation for the ‘Inspiring Views’ project will go directly to the Surrey Hills Society, the registered charity for the Surrey Hills AONB (Charity no: 1125532). You may contact the Project Lead regarding this crowdfunding by emailing surreyhillsarts@gmail.com  or visiting our Contact Us page.

  1. Contributing to the Surrey Hills Inspiring Views Project

You can contribute to the Surrey Hills Inspiring Views project by making a donation on the Inspiring Views page of our website.

You acknowledge that your contribution does not entitle you to any rights in the project, including any ownership, control or intellectual property rights.

You can make a donation by selecting the amount you wish to donate, or the Reward you would like to receive, selecting your payment method and submitting payment. Your donation will be taken immediately by us and held in a secure bank account.

You can make your donation anonymously and if you choose to do so, your name will not appear on our website.

If you do not choose to make your donation anonymously, we will list your name on our website by way of a thank you.

Other than your name, none of your personal details will be made publicly available.

Please see our Privacy Policy for further details regarding our use of your personal information.

  1. Payment method

Once you have confirmed the amount you wish to donate, you will be prompted to pay via our third party payment processors: Stripe. These payment processing services are provided by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd and the terms and conditions of those services will apply to the payments you make using them. Any personal information you provide to these payment providers will be processed in accordance with their privacy policies and not ours.

  1. Rewards

Once you have made a donation, you cannot change your selected Reward.

You will not receive your Reward until the funding goal has been met and we are able to begin the project, currently no later than 31st October 2019.

We do not guarantee to fulfill by that date as the schedule may change as we work on the project. We will keep you informed of any changes to the schedule.

In order to deliver the Rewards we will need to use your postal address. For some Rewards, we may also need to use your email address. This must be submitted when you make your donation.

If you select the £500 or the £1,500 Rewards, these specially commissioned maquettes by Will Nash will need to be collected from the Surrey Hills AONB Office at Warren Farm Barns, Headley Lane, Mickleham, RH5 6DG.  The Reward of your name burnt with pyrography into a chunk of wood at the site, will slowly fade over time.

  1. Cancelling a donation

You are entitled to cancel your donation before the funding goal has been met.

You may not cancel your donation once the project’s fundraising goal has been met and we have started the project.

If you wish to cancel your donation and obtain a refund, please contact us by emailing surreyhillsarts@gmail.com or visiting our Contact Us page.

If your donation is refunded, you will not be eligible to receive any Rewards in relation to your contribution and you may be asked to return any Rewards you have already received.

If your donation is refunded your name will be removed from our thank you page.

  1. If the funding goal is not met

In the event that the funding goal is not met by 31 October 2019 or such later date as we may determine, and we cannot proceed with the Inspiring Views project, we will notify you that your donation is being refunded and the money will appear in your bank account within 5-10 days.

If the funding goal is not met, and we refund your donation, we will not be able to fulfil any Rewards associated with your contribution.

  1. If we are unable to complete the project once the funding goal has been met.

Once the funding goal has been met, we will make every effort to complete the Inspiring Views Project. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are unable to complete the project, we will contact you to explain the reasons for this and your donation will be refunded.

In the event that we refund your donation because the project cannot be completed, we will not be able to fulfil any Rewards that have not already been provided. However, you will not be asked to return any Rewards you have already received.
