Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex supports local Surrey efforts

Surrey Drive, a Surrey Events Professionals initiative, was pleased to welcome Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex to the Surrey Drive operation on Wednesday 6th May to support the local efforts in the coronavirus response.

At the start of the day The Countess met Melanie Williams of Lavender Catering (also a member of Surrey Hill Enterprises), who is one of the many catering businesses supporting the project. Along with Melanie and her team, The Countess helped prepare delicious meals for the Royal Surrey County Hospital Trust.

Following the meal preparation, The Countess travelled to the Royal Surrey County Hospital to deliver the meals to the NHS staff. On arrival The Countess joined the volunteers to hand out meals to the frontline NHS heroes.

The support from The Countess with Surrey Drive was a great boost to the NHS workers and the volunteers of the project.

The Surrey Drive initiative managed by the Surrey Event Professionals has the support of over 25 local event businesses and friends to deliver 4,416 meals every week to the Royal Surrey County Hospital and its community hospitals part of the trust.
