Farming and Conservation at Norbury Park

Along the Mole Gap Trail…

Farming working in harmony with habitat and species protection.

With the railway tunnel under your feet you have an interrupted view across the Mole Gap. The farm at the valley bottom close to the river is Norbury Park Farm, one of three farms on the Norbury Park Estate. The collection of farm buildings includes a listed, octagonal dairy in flint and brick dating from the mid-19th Century. The farms on the estate are managed to improve wildlife habitats. Conservation grazing by cattle, sheep and goats is designed to benefit the species-rich chalk grasslands.
