10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Birtley House Estate Guildford Surrey GU5 0LE
After an invigorating, yet gentle, 7-8km walk past farmsteads and fields surrounding Birtley Woodland Art Space, join a one hour forest bathing experience session for a mindful sensory journey through the bluebell woodland of Birtley House.
We use mindfulness to tune into our senses and take in the relaxing atmosphere of the trees and find our connection to nature. We finish our session with a taste of Japanese influenced woodland tea.
Forest bathing originated in Japan, where it is called shinrin yoku. Research in Japan has shown forest bathing to improve our physiology, such as enhancing our immune system, stabilising blood pressure, lowering stress, improving sleep and concentration, as well as improving our wellbeing.Â
Join Simone and Lisa for a lovely walk and to relax and learn more about and experience the art and science of forest bathing.
