In this talk archaeologist Julian Richards will examine the ways in which archaeology has been portrayed on television, from the early days of ‘Animal, Vegetable, Mineral’ through the Time Team years and beyond. Drawing on his experience as the presenter of BBC 2’s ‘Meet the Ancestors’ and ‘Blood of the Vikings’ Julian will offer his own personal views on the world of TV archaeology – likes and dislikes!
