Our two day Remote Outdoor first aid course is designed to provide the skills and knowledge to administer first aid in any outdoor or mountain emergency which may occur in remote conditions. The course content is based in the outdoors and recreates emergency scenarios to test your knowledge of responding to an incident where help is not immediately available. This course is ideal for anyone leading outdoor expeditions, including Duke of Edinburgh leaders, ski and snow instructors, and Scouts Leaders.
This is a 16-hour course, delivered over two 8 hour days. The two days are completed outside with practical learning scenarios.This course covers the following content:
Management of an unconscious casualty
Head, chest, and internal injury
Spinal recovery position
Acute mountain sickness
Cold related injuries
Management of fractures
Common medical emergencies
On successful completion of the course delegates will receive a Remote Outdoor First Aid certificate which is valid for 3 years.
