Leith Hill Place Dorking Surrey RH5 6LY

Leith Hill Place was the childhood home of composer, Ralph Vaughan Williams and the magical setting where he was first inspired to explore music. Nestling gracefully in the Surrey Hills, where better to spend a summer’s afternoon or evening with family and friends.

On Saturday 1 July at 6.30pm the Royal College of Music provides the music, along with an informative talk on English landscape paintings given by renowned artist, Jo Lewis.  This is the second in our series of music provided by the Royal College of Music. It is an evening with a difference as we will be exploring works from Bridge, Kodaly, Prokofiev and Vaughan Williams as well as the history of English landscape paintings.

This intimate concert will take place in The Terrace Room at Leith Hill Place, where Ralph Vaughan Williams grew up and was taught music by his Aunt Sophie.

Tickets for the evening must be booked in advance and will include non-alcoholic interval refreshments and cost £20. To book tickets please call 0344 249 1895
