Surrey Unearthed Poetry Walk with Mole Valley Poets
Meet the Mole Valley Poets at Abinger Roughs to walk and be inspired by the Surrey Hills. An opportunity to contemplate what created the landscape of these beautiful Surrey Hills – literally and historically – on a walk across Abinger Roughs with the opportunity to write, share impressions and starting points for poems.
All welcome to join in an inclusive and inspiring poetry fuelled afternoon, however please be aware that the walk will include woodland tracks which can be uneven and muddy and may also may involve stiles and gates – good walking boots are recommended.
Meet at the Abinger Roughs National Trust Carpark. By car – west of Dorking off A25 Dorking to Guildford Road, just before Abinger Hammer, at The Crossways, head north up Whitedown Lane (opposite Rakes Lane) – car park is on left. By bus – Arriva 22 or 32, alight at bottom of Whitedown Lane (opposite Rakes Lane), then walk up the lane – 20 minute walk.
