Hurtwood Control Car Park 4 Peaslake Surrey GU6 7NL
This free, guided walk will follow a section of the Greensand Way in the beautiful Hurtwood in South West Surrey.
The walk will be led by Ali Clarke from Surrey Hills Arts who will lead us to two of the sculptural seating artworks from the ‘Inspiring Views’ project. In addition to specially created seating, ‘Inspiring Views’ included new sound pieces and poetry inspired by the view.
We will see ‘Perspectives’ by Giles Miller and ‘Contour’ by Russell Jakubowski and will also hear the specially commissioned poetry and sound tracks at each piece. The walk is approx. 3.5 miles long on rough terrain but no steep hills.
Please dress appropriately for the outdoors, depending on the prevailing weather conditions on the day. The walk will happen in any weather.
Meet us at Car Park 4 in the Hurtwood at 10.30am for 11am start.
Directions: Exit the A25 (Dorking to Guildford Road) at Shere village and head south on Hound House Road. After about 3 miles, fork right onto Barhatch Road signed to Winterfold.
