Come and join Surrey Hills Society, in association with Guildford Summer Walkfest on an exploration of the Shere area, with the Chairman Chris Howard and Rambler’s Association member Graham Butler. We will enjoy an exploration of hills behind Shere. Picturesque Shere has been used in many a famous movie including “Four Weddings and a Funeral”, “The Holiday” and “The Wedding date”.
We will walk most of the Millennium Trail – 9.5 miles.
Starting from Gomshall station car park SU 088478 at 11.15am.
Optional lunch at The Hurtwood Inn Peaslake, or bring a picnic.
You will need stout walking shoes and be fit enough to climb small hills. It is practical to bring dogs on this day but the event is not designed/suitable for children. This event is not suitable for members with mobility difficulties. Bring wet weather gear if rain is forecast.
Plenty of free parking is available in the village.
Booking is essential. The event will be free for both members and non-members.
