Are you a rural business looking to increase the value of cyclists and walkers to your business? Do you want to encourage cyclists and walkers to visit your attraction, stay overnight, spend money in your shop or stop off for food and refreshments?

Sign up to a ‘Delivering Value from Cycling and Walking’ workshop, on Tuesday 21 November between 6.00pm and 9.00pm, at Dorking Halls, Reigate Road, Dorking RH4 1SG and have your say on how rural businesses can attract and benefit from visiting cyclists and walkers.

During the evening you will hear from Peter Dodd, Commercial Director at Welcome to Yorkshire, about how the Tour De Yorkshire successfully engaged with their local community helping them maximising the value from cycling related visitors; Peter Morris, Manager of the National Trails will explore how to get greater value from walkers along the North Downs Way, including plans for the recently announced £1m award from the Discover England Fund to National Trails to attract the near Europe visitor market.
This free workshop is part of a wider EAFRD ‘Wheels, Feet and Hooves’ project which is looking at ways of increasing the value of the visitor economy in the Mole Valley and wider East Surrey area. Priority will be given to Mole Valley businesses but rural businesses from the East Surrey areas of Tandridge, Epsom & Ewell and Reigate & Banstead area welcome to attend.
