We are taking a walk on the wild side and would love you to join us, for our second collaboration with Wild Feast.
We’re teaming up with trained and experienced forager Sarah Watson from Wild Feast in a bid to introduce you to the hidden delights of nature’s larder.
Our passion for wild ingredients inspires many of our menus. When done carefully and sustainably, foraging is a great way of connecting with our natural environment and making the most of the ingredients on our doorstep. You can’t get more local than your nearest hedgerow!
Sarah Watson of Wild Feast first experienced foraging with her botanist father. Together they would roam the countryside, identifying wild plants and gathering edible mushrooms to cook up and devour with relish! Since then, she has foraged well over 100 species of British wild edible plants, seaweed and fungi, using them in wild food dishes, wild cocktails and mocktails. Now teaching her passion, Sarah has held workshops for Kew Gardens and guided foraging walks for the National Trust and we are very excited to have her come and share her tips for the perfect woodland feast!
Our foraging walk will be followed by a woodland feast, cooked over fire and making use of the wild ingredients we have gathered along the way. Throughout the day, Sarah will also share her ideas on how you can enjoy wild edibles in both food and boozy infusions, as well as how to keep foraging safe and sustainable.
