Explore the Surrey Hills is a tourism leaflet which highlights a variety of attractions and ideas for days out in the Surrey Hills – including Llama trekking! The guide focuses on the main market towns within the Surrey Hills; Farnham, Haslemere, Guildford, Dorking, Reigate and into East Surrey as well as detailing some of the delightful villages which are dotted around the main towns. Each page is filled with different ideas of what you can do to get out and enjoy the Surrey Hills from countryside walks to vineyards and stately homes.

Churt Walk, Mills & Hills (A5)

Encounter stunning views, historical landmarks and dramatic heathland on this 9 mile picturesque route starting at Frensham Great Pond Visitor Centre.

This is one of a series of 3 walks starting from the Frensham Great Pond Visitor Centre.

 

Frensham Walk Hops & Heather (A5)

Discover the peace and tranquility of Frensham Village and its surrounding countryside on this 6 mile walk from Frensham Great Pond Visitor Centre.

This is one of a series of 3 walks starting from the Frensham Great Pond Visitor Centre.

Mole Gap Trail (DL)

Step off the train at Leatherhead Station and you will soon see the silver arrows which will guide you along this delightful 6 mile linear walk to Dorking.

 

North Downs Way - National Trail (DL)

The North Downs Way National Trail stretches for 153 miles from Farnham to Dover along the Downs in Surrey and Kent. In many places it follows the same route as the legendary Pilgrim’s Way.

The Horsley Jubilee Trail (A5)

An enjoyable 14.5Km circular walk through woods & meadows with many historic features to be discovered. The walk was named the Horsley Jubilee Trail because it was not until the Queen’s Golden Jubilee that the complete trail became possible due to the aquisition of The Forest and the designation of a new right of way.

Tilford Walk , Birds & Bridges (A5)

This picturesque 8 mile walk takes you from Frensham Great Pond along the River Wey and past the Little Pond. Discover the medieval bridges at Tilford and the abundance of local wildlife.

This is one of a series of 3 walks starting from the Frensham Great Pond Visitor Centre.

Woldingham Countryside Walk (DL)

An illustrated leaflet with map and route description for a delightful 5.5 mile walk through the Woldingham countryside.

The walk begins and ends at Woldingham railway station. Allow at least 3 hours to enjoy the full route. The route is marked by signposts and waymarks.

Downlands Circular Walk (DL)

The Downlands Circular Walk is a popular 6 mile route that will lead you through beautiful and ancient countryside, right on London’s doorstep.

Tillingbourne Trails (DL)

5 heritage trails have been created as part of the HLF funded Tillingbourne Tales project.  Discover more about the fascinating industrial heritage of the Tillingbourne Valley on the Shalford, Chilworth, Albury, Shere, Gomshall, Abinger & Wotton circular walks. Each walk starts from a village and takes between 1.5 – 2.5 hours to walk.

Cycle Surrey Hills (DL)

Cycle Surrey Hills is a network of over 80km (50 miles) of off-road cycle trails in South West Surrey. There are 5 interlinking routes providing a variety of options to explore the very best of this beautiful area.

Please be aware that a mountain bike will be required to undertake these routes and you will need to push through some parts of the route due to soft sand in summer and mud in winter.

Inspiring Views (DL)

Our Inspiring Views projects saw 5 artists respond to Surrey Hills views along the Greensand Way and create sculptural seating where visitors can pause and appreciate the view. This booklet tells you more about each sculpture and shows you where you can find them.

Postcards (A6)

A set of six postcards produced in a vintage style of iconic sites within the Surrey Hills. Each postcard has suggested itineraries on the back and links to public transport to access the areas.
