The Surrey Hills AONB Board consists of Core (funding) and Advisory (non-funding) members consisting of representatives from local authorities, public bodies and agencies, landowners, land managers and farmers, and other special interest groups. The Surrey Hills AONB Board meet on a quarterly basis.

The AONB Director leads on developing policy and strategy affecting the Surrey Hills locally and nationally. The Director also leads the AONB team in co-ordinating, advising and delivering actions identified in the Surrey Hills AONB Management Plan.

The Marketing Communications Officer helps to raise awareness and understanding of the Surrey Hills AONB. The role involves working with a wide range of partners and external organisations to promote the Surrey Hills as a national asset.

The Working Groups and Grants Administrator co-ordinates all work related to the working groups and projects as well as provides admin support. This role also works with the AONB Director to administer any grants that are made available to the AONB Board.
