Enjoy a short gentle stroll, with no stiles and discover some of the hidden history of these pretty villages. We have organised a visit to Shere Museum to view the Tales of the Tillingbourne puppets in situ in their new home. The Surrey Hills Society were a key partner in this Heritage Lottery Funded project and a number of our members volunteered in various roles, including the making of the puppets- all based on real people who lived in the area.
Meet us at Gomshall Railway Station (GU5 9NX) at 1.15pm for prompt 1.30pm start. There is plenty of free parking available at the railway station. The walk is about 3 miles and will finish around 3.30pm. We will end the afternoon with an optional afternoon tea/drink at Tillings Tea Rooms in Gomshall. Dogs are welcome on the walk.
The cost for the visit is £3.00 per person (children up to 16 free) and £4.00 for non-members. All proceeds go to support the Surrey Hills AONB. This walk is open to all from beginners upwards.
