Date(s) - 29/10/2016
12:00 am - 5:00 pm
You are invited to the Surrey Hills Society Members’ Day and Annual General Meeting to be held at the Wilfrid Noyce Centre (WNC), Crown Court, High St, Godalming GU7 1DY.
The AGM commences at 2.00pm and will include a guest speaker from Godalming Town Council. Afterwards there will be afternoon tea served using locally sourced ingredients followed by a Surrey Hills quiz.
Prior to the AGM we are very lucky to have been offered a guided tour of The Meath grounds in Godalming starting at 12.00noon. The Meath epilepsy charity is an organisation that supports people with disabilities and epilepsy who reside on site. This grand Georgian period house has history dating from the 15th Century and will be a fascinating insight into the history of Godalming. This will be free to SHS members. Car parking facilities are available at The Meath.
After there will be enough time to have a look at Changing Perceptions (one of The Meath’s social enterprises which is a tea/coffee shop with an upcycling furniture workshop at the back situated at the top of the High Street. On the day, if you mention the SHS, there will be a 10% discount on refreshments. There will also be some furniture from Changing Perceptions and unique gifts from another Meath enterprise called Meath Art House (another enterprise in the High Street) in the entrance to the WNC to purchase and you may like to make a donation to The Meath at this point.
At the WNC there will also be a stand from a local shop (The Godalming Food Company) that will be selling produce from around Godalming and the Surrey Hills, so do please have a look at their stall.
Attendance at the AGM is, of course, without charge but it would be helpful to know numbers of those attending. Please let us know about your participation to the meeting by emailing us at email@example.com. All official paperwork will be available for download and print on http://www.surreyhills.org/society/latest-news/agms/ in due course.
Afternoon teas must be pre-ordered; we regret it will not be possible to pay on the day. If you would like to join us for the afternoon tea or for the visit to the Meath Grounds, would you please complete and return the booking form below to arrive at Warren Farm Barns before 15th October 2016.
Please include your e-mail address or a stamped addressed envelope so you may be sent full details, directions and locations for the visit.
