Surrey Hills Arts ran a workshop with a difference at Newlands Corner on Saturday 14 October.  People of all ages and abilities had the challenge of drawing the outstanding views with bamboo sticks with graphite tips led by artist Stuart Simler. This encouraged freedom of expression, and a range of mark making as well as people studying the view in far more detail than usual. We were joined by participants from Oakleaf Enterprises too who appreciated ‘the exercise, the drawing and found this new technique playful and something different.’
