History of Our Logo

The Surrey Hills logo was based on an original carving by internationally renowned sculptor Walter Bailey. The initial logo brief asked;

"To celebrate an entire landscape and its community, rather than a specific site and be flexible enough to use as a logo on food labels and marketing materials".

The result is a unique family of images with a powerful identity, strongly rooted in the landscape – an emblem for hope, rebirth and regeneration in Surrey’s rural areas.

This photo of the logo depicts the idea of a seed or acorn as it starts to germinate.
