The Surrey Hills team is responsible for taking forward initiatives to protect the beauty of the Surrey Hills for the safe use and enjoyment of all. The Office consists of the following personnel, whose job purposes are summarised below:
Rob Fairbanks, AONB Director
The role of the AONB Director is to undertake the core functions for AONB management, advise, support and act on behalf of the Surrey Hills Board, promote policies and action to conserve and enhance the Surrey Hills AONB, develop the Management Plan and identify projects which relate to it.

Gail Sperrin, Projects Manager

The role of the Projects Manager is to assist the AONB Officer in the development of policies and actioning them as well as developing and leading on projects to conserve, enhance and manage the Surrey Hills AONB.

Caroline Cation, Marketing Communications Officer

The role of the Marketing Communications Officer is to raise awareness, understanding and enjoyment of the Surrey Hills and develop clear and appropriate messages about the identity of the Surrey Hills AONB, and the Surrey Hills Board.

Denise Furlonger, Office Manager
The role of the Office Manager is to provide administrative support to the Surrey Hills AONB Unit and Board, organise the efficient running of the Unit and manage all finance.

The role of the Sustainable Development Fund Administrator is to manage the fund allocated by Natural England, advise the SDF panel of appropriate projects to be funded and ensure all projects are completed and documented.

Caroline White, Hindhead Together Co-ordinator
The role of the Hindhead Together Co-ordinator is to ensure a brighter future for the Hindhead area arising from the £370m road scheme. Liasing with community groups, government bodies, charities and private companies the role focuses on effectively communicating the scheme and co-ordinating a vision for it's future.
