Management Plan

The aim of the Management Plan is to ensure that the natural beauty, special character and the vitality of local communities in the Surrey Hills are recognised, maintained and strengthened.

All those who have a role to play – landowners, farmers, foresters, residents, local authorities, businesses, parish councils, voluntary groups and visitors to the Surrey Hills – need to work together to maintain the beauty and special qualities of the area for the benefit of present and future generations.

The Management Plan has been prepared by the Surrey Hills Board on behalf of the local authority partners who under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 have adopted the Plan. The Plan sets out the vision, policies and plans for the future management Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
