Reviewing the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Management Plan.
We really do need to hear from you so we can plan a positive future for the Surrey Hills. The Surrey Hills AONB is a much valued landscape of national importance. The Management Plan which was published in April 2004 is now being reviewed. Your input to the review of the Management Plan is needed. The review has three stages:
Stage 1. Review Existing Plan and draft revisions – with partners and stakeholders, a series of Expert Panels reviewed the existing Management Plan and proposed areas for review. This happened in May – June. 2008.
Stage 2. Public consultation on the draft Management Plan. This is being carried out from July – SeptemberThis will be carried out in the spring/ summer of 2008 and a revised draft will be prepared for October 2008.
Stage 3. Confirmation and adoption – Finalise Management Plan and taken through formal adoption stage by each local authority, publication and deposit with Secretary of State by April 2009.
We are now starting the 2nd Stage of this review and are asking for your comments on the Consultation Draft of the Management Plan first revision 2009 - 2014. The following sections of the consultations draft are available to view here;
