Situated just off the A281 Guildford to Horsham Road

The church of St Nicholas at Alfold is said to have one of the prettiest approaches in Surrey. To the right of the Church are pretty old cottages which peer across the fields to neighbouring Sussex. Alfold was also situated on the smuggling route where tobacco and brandy from France was smuggled via the Sussex coast to London.
